Olympus announces the release of three new models in its DSX Series of digital microscopes, the DSX 510, DSX510i, and DSX110, with capabilities that include highly accurate observation, measurement with simple operation, and easy report generation.
The DSX 510 is an upright microscope compatible with two objective lenses and an optical zoom that provides a wide magnification range. The DSX510i is an inverted microscope suitable for use with polished samples such as metallurgical cross sections. And finally, the DSX110 is a low-magnification model with a tilting frame that allows samples to be viewed from an angle as well as from directly above. All three models have advanced automatic stitching function, faster extended focal imaging, 3D imaging functions, and roughness measurement function. In addition, the upright DSX510 has an improved height measurement performance.
Industrial microscopes are used to make observations and measurements of a wide variety of samples such as electronic components and metallic materials. The DSX Series of digital microscopes leverage the high reliability of optical technology that has been incorporated into this digital technology platform. Olympus has built this digital platform to be simple and intuitive to operate. The new DSX models enable users to perform a streamlined workflow from placing a sample on the stage, making observations, and measurements to report generation.
The technology driver for digital microscopy has been the push for miniaturization and precision in electronic products. There is an increased need for the efficient, accurate observation and measurement of a diverse range of samples. Users in fields such as development and quality management require reliable instruments with versatile, easy-to-use functions. Olympus is supporting more efficient, accurate observation and measurement by releasing the new DSX510, DSX510i, and DSX110 models with enhanced basic performance.
