I boroscopi ultra-sottili, il più piccolo è di 0.9mm di diametro, utilizzano fibre coerenti per la trasmissione delle immagini che mantengono il tubo di inserzione rendendolo flessibile minimizzando il rischio di rottura.

Nelle applicazioni che consentono l'accesso all'area di ispezione solo attraverso aperture larghe meno di 4 mm (0,16 pollici), la linea Olympus di boroscopi a piccolo diametro offre un'ampia gamma di specifiche. Questi strumenti sono ideali per molteplici usi, comprese le ispezioni di componentistica elettronica, elementi pressofusi fini, iniettori di carburante e impianti idraulici.

Immagini chiare, ad alta risoluzione
I boroscopi a piccolo diametro della serie X utilizzano un sistema di trasmissione delle immagini attraverso fibra ottica che garantisce una qualità delle immagini eccellente, e un tubo di inserimento semi-flessibile, più robusto. Questa caratteristica permette la produzione di modelli dal diametro ultra-sottile, tra cui il nuovissimo modello da 0,9 mm (0.04") che offre grandi vantaggi in determinate applicazioni.

L'illuminazione è ottenuta tramite cavi porta luce, collegati ad una delle fonti di luce della vasta gamma Olympus. In alternativa si può utilizzare la fonte di luce portatile con funzionamento a batteria ILK-M1.

Le immagini sul monitor sono luminose e nitide, eccellenti per l'ispezione nelle linee di produzione.
