Chris Magruder and Francois-Come Beaupre discuss some of the features of the new Omniscan MX2.
オンラインセミナー : OmniScan MX2(英語)音声:English
This Webinar is intended to take the participant through the basics of phased array depth and height flaw sizing with real world examples by expanding on traditional conventional techniques with advanced phased array probes and software. Shear wave tip diffraction, -6dB sizing, high angle longitudinal L-wave, ID Creeping wave, and other advanced techniques will be on display. Additionally, use of the OmniScan measurement cursors, defect table and report are explained and demonstrated.
Also on display will be Olympus' new software "OmniPC" for computer based offline analysis of OmniScan data files.
Precision phased array calibrations for time of flight measurements combine the phased array calculator and traditional conventional UT wedge delay functions. This webinar is intended to demonstrate use of both UT calibration blocks for procedure compliance along with best practices for optimized phased array results using the OmniScan MX2 and latest software.
Part one of the series will cover the essential ingredients of phased array and basic theory. It is geared toward understanding the equipment basics used to generate phased array inspections and includes the introduction to the OmniScan MX2 software user interface.
Part two of the series will cover sector scan basics and introduction to the data views and displays commonly used in automated UT and phased array. This includes use of the OmniScan MX2 group setup wizards, and setup and configuration of the UT parameters.
Through the course of the Webinar participants will learn the benefits of:
• New OmniScan module technology that allows simultaneous acquisition from high definition UT board and phased array probes.
• Demonstration of new MX2 wizard functions for TOFD setup and acquisition.
• Optimization of UT parameters for improved TOFD. (More power less heat)
• Improved PRF management for multi group phased array and TOFD inspection.
• New improved B-scan TOFD imaging.
• New acquisition and analysis display for simultaneous phased array and TOFD inspection.
• New addition to the MX2 wizard for TOFD PCS calibration.
• Introduction to the HST Lite TOFD scanner and Olympus family of TOFD probes and wedges.
Part three of the series will cover gate and C-scan configurations for weld inspection, calibration options and limitations, and include explanation and demonstration of the OmniScan MX2 calibration wizards for manual inspection.
There will be a brief review of the previous Webinar that leads into the current topics. This will combine sector scan basics, and MX2 displays readings, and parameters in preparation for a manual sector scan weld inspection.
Part four of the series will cover inspection and analysis with an emphasis on flaw sizing and characterizations using the sector scan data view.
