The entry-level Series C videoscope offers several features such as advanced articulation and high image quality that are standard on Olympus’ portfolio of high-end IPLEX videoscopes. This new instrument delivers striking, high-quality still images and videos to make it suitable for use in diverse inspection environments, providing a high level of durability with a compact and portable design. The Series C videoscope captures images with the desired brightness by combining eight brightness settings, glare reduction, high-intensity LED, and light-sensitive CCD camera chip technologies.
A major benefit of the Series C videoscope is the high level of maneuverability of the insertion tube thanks to its highly flexible distal tip and a proprietary spring neck design that reduces stress when navigated through tight bends or sharply curved spaces. Articulation is made possible by the thumb-driven joy stick on the unit that controls 360o articulation of the distal tip and up to 120o angulation. To further reduce wear and tear, the insertion tube is made of a tungsten braid that is resistant to abrasion and designed to be waterproof. A protective replaceable cap added to the distal end tip of the insertion tube protects the LED light source and the video camera when used in harsh environments.
The Series C videoscope is designed for ease of operation provided by the built-in 3 inch LCD monitor with its intuitive, icon-based user interface, and the thumb-driven joy stick, which makes it suitable for both routine and more specialized inspections.
The Series C is Olympus’ most affordable videoscope for remote visual inspection (RVI) with features and optics typically reserved for more expensive instruments. Designed to adhere to stringent quality and endurance testing, and backed by more than 40 years of precision and optical device expertise, makes this new instrument the videoscope of choice for many inspection projects.
