As part of our ongoing mission to provide customers with powerful but easy-to-use tools that enable them to do their jobs confidently and efficiently, we set out to create a unified image analysis platform that could be used to control all our microscopes and accessories. With the launch of PRECiV v. 2.1, we take another step closer to fulfilling this promise.
Available with PRECiV 2.1, PRECiV DSX is our dedicated software for controlling our DSX1000 series digital microscopes. This leading-edge software is a game-changer for professionals in quality assurance, R, process development, and quality control.
What Sets PRECiV DSX Apart
Enhanced Flexibility and Compatibility: PRECiV DSX simplifies how you use your DSX digital microscope, offering seamless control over all motorized functions for greater speed and accuracy. PRECiV DSX supports the entire DSX100 series lineup, including the tilting and upright frames, the universal and standard zoom heads, and the DSX console. It can also control DSX manual, motorized, and rotatable stages and the full suite of DSX objective lenses.

User-Friendly Interface: If you’re in a lab with several types of microscopes—such as digital and conventional—the software’s uniform user interface across devices makes it easy to learn and apply to all your systems, enhancing efficiency and reducing the learning curve for new users.
PRECiV DSX has a user-friendly interface designed to make your work easier. In this example, a sample is shown in the DSX1000 Best Image Observation method. It instantly displays sample images captured using six different observation methods, enabling you to choose the one you think is best.
Advanced Imaging and Measurements: With PRECiV DSX, users can achieve sophisticated 2D and 3D measurements. PRECiV DSX natively supports simple 3D measurements, like line profile, on images with height information. For more advanced measurements, such as surface roughness or volume measurement, PRECiV DSX makes it simple to export the images to our 3D analysis app for additional analysis.
PRECiV DSX is capable of both simple and advanced measurements. In this case, the user is measuring the distance between points along a line.
AI-Enhanced Analysis: The software leverages neural networks for advanced image analysis, offering capabilities beyond traditional algorithms. This includes image segmentation and feature discrimination, adaptable to various magnifications.

All-in-Focus 3D Images: The extended focal imaging (EFI) function makes it simple to obtain fully in focus 3D images of your samples. The software controls the microscope to serially capture images of your sample at different focal planes. If your sample is large, the panorama function enables you to acquire EFI images larger than the microscope’s field of view. PRECiV DSX also enables you to calculate EFI and panorama images offline as well using images you’ve previously acquired.

Customization and Macros: PRECiV DSX software can be tailored to individual needs. It also supports macro recording for repetitive tasks, streamlining workflows and simplifying complex measurements.

Network Connectivity and Reporting: The software allows for smooth network connections, making it easy to share instrument status and data. Integration with Microsoft 365 for reporting enhances its utility in modern laboratory environments.
