Reactor Vessel

Video borescopes are used to inspect for scratches and corrosion on the top cover of the reactor furnace. This inspection is mandatory in some regions. Reactor vessels are located in a contaminated areas called the nuclear island, so the borescope equipment used for this application should be radiation resistant. The furnace cover is also in a dark and spacious location, so the illumination system should be capable of producing high-intensity light.

Our Solution

Radiation-Resistant Design

IPLEX GAir and NX video borescopes are designed to resist a high level of radiation exposure, enabling inspectors to use them in contaminated areas.

High-Intensity Illumination for Large Spaces

Our IPLEX NX features laser diode illumination capable of producing high-intensity light enabling you to see clearly when inspecting large, dark spaces such as inside the reactor vessel.

Wide Field of View

The IPLEX GAir video borescope has an optional 220-degree optical adapter that shows the forward and side views at the same time. When inspecting pipes, you can use this function to improve your efficiency.

Inspect From a Safer Distance

The IPLEX GAir video borescope comes equipped with extra-long scope, enabling  inspectors to navigate the insertion tube into contaminated areas from a safe distance and protecting them from exposure.
