Olympus Innov-X is pleased to introduce a collimated X-ray beam for analysis of small areas into its popular DELTA handheld XRF analyzers.
DELTA handheld XRF analyzers offer instantaneous, nondestructive material analysis for a wide range of applications ranging from metal sorting and alloy QA/QC to analysis of consumer goods for toxic metals content. The DELTA analyzers offer cutting-edge electronics and x-ray technology, along with innovative software features making the DELTA analyzers fast, user-friendly and easy to operate. These analyzers are engineered for continual use, achieving thousands of tests per day in some applications, even in extreme environments including the inspection of system components at temperatures exceeding 800 °F (426 °C).
Continuing to bring benchtop capabilities into handheld convenience, DELTA analyzers are now available with fully integrated camera and X-ray spot collimation. A high resolution CMOS camera integrated inside the analyzer offers real-time imaging at full and half VGA resolution for crisp, accurate sample images. Images are archived into memory with analysis results, and exported for test certificate reports.
Additionally offered is small spot collimation for focusing the analysis beam to a 3 mm diameter spot. The collimation is electronically controlled - the user pushes a button for spot collimation and focus. Small spot collimation is of special interest to those operators needing to analyze weld beads (independent from surrounding substrate materials), and small samples, like PCB components or jewelry features. Regular, bulk (10 mm diameter) spot analysis is also available, at the push of a button.
Camera and small spot collimation options are available on all three DELTA handheld models - the advanced DELTA Premium, the midrange DELTA Standard, and the value-based DELTA Classic analyzer. Olympus Innov-X has the handheld XRF best suited for your application and nondestructive analysis needs. Every DELTA is engineered for rugged toughness AND analytical precision; there are no compromises!
